Our project is founded on the principle of sustainability– ‘zelaki’ in Amharic. We aim to build concrete, scalable engineering solutions to the plastic pollution crisis in Ethiopia that promote community and environmental well-being while creating enduring interdisciplinary partnerships between Arizona State University and Ethiopian academic and governmental organizations in sustainability, engineering, and conservation.
